Saroglitazar 4 mg Tablets contains Saroglitazar, a medication in the Antidiabetics class. It is used to treat diabetic dyslipidaemia and hypertriglyceridemia (high triglyceride levels) in people with Type 2 diabetes who are not controlled by statin therapy

Diabetic dyslipidaemia is characterised by elevated triglycerides and LDL cholesterol, low HDL cholesterol, and a predominance of small LDL particles. Before beginning treatment with this medicine, your doctor may request that you undergo certain diagnostic tests.

Along with Saroglitazar 4 mg Tablets, your doctor may advise you to make certain lifestyle changes, such as eating healthy, getting enough sleep, managing your weight and stress, and quitting smoking and drinking.

In patients with liver, kidney, or heart disease (with episodic congestive heart failure) and a history of muscle diseases, Saroglitazar 4 mg Tablets should be used with caution. Saroglitazar 4 mg Tablets  should be used with caution in pregnant women and is not recommended for use in nursing mothers.

HOW DOES THE SAROGLITAZAR 4 MG TABLETS WORK?

SAROGLITAZAR 4 MG TABLETS has an effect on both glucose and fat metabolism. It acts on specific receptors to help lower high blood triglycerides and glucose levels in the blood, as well as improve insulin resistance. It acts on the liver, increasing lipid (fat) degradation while decreasing their formation, resulting in lower triglycerides.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Take SAROGLITAZAR 4MG TABLETs exactly as directed by your doctor. Take the medication with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the medication. Depending on your age, condition, and body weight, your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration for you.

HOW TO CONTROL SIDE EFFECTS

Fever:

ALLERGY

If you are allergic to Saroglitazar or any of its ingredients, do not take SAROGLITAZAR4MG TABLET.

DISEASE OF THE HEART

In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who have heart disease and episodic congestive heart failure, SAROGLITAZAR 4 MG TABLETS should be used with caution. Before using, consult your doctor.

OTHERS

Inform your doctor before taking SAROGLITAZAR 4 MG TABLETS if you:

• Musculoskeletal diseases (myopathies)

INTERACTIONS

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much SAROGLITAZAR4MG TABLET, call your doctor or go to the nearest hospital right away.
